Lička Plješivica (or Plješevica in Bosnian) is an elongated mountain range that stretches through eastern Lika in Croatia, and a small part of it is located on the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina near Bihać. The earliest known classical name for the newer Lička Plješivica was the Latin Alpes Ferreae. Until the 16th century, the older medieval name Vražji vrt (formerly Hortus Diaboli) was used. The eastern slopes of the mountain descend into the canyon of the upper part of Una river. Most of its surface is covered with dense forest and this is its most valuable asset. This mountain is a popular picnic spot and a place for hikers and nature enthusiasts. Treat yourself with a short trip to this amazing place or organize a hiking route with family and friends.
